There are many different versions of Poker, from Texas Holdem, to Seven Card Stud. But regardless of the style you want to learn, you should learn some of the basics of Poker.

Depending on the style, the game will be played with a single deck with more or fewer cards. Sometimes there will be a wild card, which in Poker is the Joker. The value of the cards, ranging from lowest to highest, starts with the two, and goes in order with three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, and then the face cards proceeding with jack, queen, king, and the ace being the highest in value, or the lowest in value (one) depending on the rules or player.

No matter the style of Poker you are playing, the objective is usually to have hand that is stronger than the other players, to win the jackpot.

Poker, as mentioned before, has many different versions, some of the most popular are: five or seven card stud, Caribbean poker, draw poker, Omaha high low, or Texas holdem. Although their rules don’t vary greatly, more so with the layout, you will need to learn the rules for each version carefully in order to win.
